My Story
Hi. My name is Rohit Patnala, a student at Cypress Woods High School in Cypress, Texas and I founded this program in November 2020. I realized that most elementary, middle and especially high school students are not getting an opportunity to learn the basics of financial literacy, business ideations, startup culture and furthermore.
During my middle school years, when I was interested to learn about these topics, I was not given the opportunity to explore the business world, I soon figured out that, I was not able to find the proper instruction on these topics, however I realized that there wasn't any program to kickstart the learning process. And that was the moment I decided to start a program for the youth and that eventually led me to start The L.E.A.P
I identified that middle/high school is a good time to develop personal finance and leadership skills, since students in that range are on the verge of entering the real world. Since many students who have a goal of turning their passions and interests into reality may not have the proper resources or information to do so, I decided to start a podcast, “The Inclusive Show,” to reach that audience. In this podcast, I inform listeners about various topics regarding Economics, Business, and Finance. On top of this, I also interview entrepreneurs, professors, and industry leaders about their journeys and the impact their work has in the real world.
Along with my newly formed Executive team, The entirety of the LEAP executive board knows this information as we have been researching and learning about these topics. We took the program to the national stage and most recently, with the contributions of dedicated team, we expanded The L.E.A.P internationally. Watching students learn about these valuable topics and becoming successful in their journeys is truly a rewarding gift and drives our members to continue to participate in this Program, which is centered around paving the way and planting a seed for the next generation to be aspiring leaders through an established sense of leadership, financial literacy, and being a good samaritan and our strong future leaders to lead the global world.
