While training International students, we realized that so many students are not even able to get two meals a day and proper nutrition which is very vital for any student to focus and learn and for their overall well being. One out of every ten students do not have access to proper food, clean water, or sustainable health care. Much of the developing world is suffering from lack of proper nutrition - These are real problems.
L.E.A.P decided to do their part and started to raise funds and donate to the students, making sure they get three meals a day. With that intention, L.E.A.P founder, Rohit Patnala, started a Food service program called Akshaya Patra, which means unlimited bowl of food in Sanskrit. Witnessing the drastic effects of Covid-19 Pandemic, Akshaya Patra raised donations and partnered with local organizations to help several students and people that are less fortunate in India and few other parts of the World.
We partnered with Local Food Bank to serve students in and around Houston and Cypress, TX.
